“We are not a party to this lawsuit. However, we stand behind our Android operating system and the partners who have helped us to develop it,”

Apple seems to be heavily targeting the Android phone in a roundabout way, by not directly targeting Google and instead going after their partners. Apple is suing HTC over 20 patents in both the US District Court and the International Trade Commission as of March 2, 2010. Most of the patents have been issued in the past year, though they span a range from 1995 to February 2.
